A full medical and dental history will be taken at the first appointment, including any medications that you or your child may be taking. The dentist will explain the procedure to you, before asking for written consent.
The gas is delivered via a nose mask and the concentration of the gas required will be adjusted to suit your needs. It will make you feel relaxed, less anxious and slightly sleepy. You will be less likely to feel the local anaesthetic injection as well.
